Genesis Geometry

The basic geometry of Genesis starts with the term, which is commonly and erroneously referred to as “God,” which is Elohim. Elohim is a product of the initial impulse of Divine Will (Kav) after the contraction of No-Thing (Tzimtzum). The after effect of the Contraction is a void (Hallal) which is a type of womb in an allegorical sense. The Arizal in Etz Chaim refers to the contraction extending from a singular point and establishing a periphery of a spherical quality. The best way to visualize this is via the placement of the tip of a compass upon paper and the extension of the compass represents the contraction and the revolution of the compass around the center point is the periphery of tzimtzum. This process is summarized and denoted as Elohim which is the attribute of the qualities of Divine potential within finite existence, which is why Elohim shares the same numerical quality of HaTeva (Nature).
The term Elohim has a numerical value of PI and the circumference of a circle is delineated by PI. Thus the first geometrical expression is a circle. Every time the term Elohim manifests itself throughout the Creation narrative of Genesis 1 there is a reproduction of the fundamental geometrical expression.
This process can be likened to the planting of a seed which subsequently grows into a more complex organism as it expresses the potential latent within its design. This geometric expression throughout Genesis is parallel to the fertilization and subsequent cellular division of an embryo. Just as the embryo is fertilized and begins to express is potential so too was the Creation narrative a fertilization of the Hallal (womb) by the Divine plenum which develops is successive stages to eventually express the Imperative which brought it into existence in the first place.
Geometrically you begin with the simple sphere which reproduces itself according to the days of Genesis. At the end of the first chapter you have a complete Flower of Life diagram wherein you find not only the Tree of Life pattern but also all of the Platonic Solids which are necessary for the actualization of material reality that is born into existence in Genesis 2.
