  • The Observers Mind

    Tuesday, July 30, 2013
A prerequisite for spiritual development is the conscious development of the observers mind. This is when you develop your perceptions to the level of self-observation wherein you are consious of all your internal states and unrecognized beliefs, which form the basis of your reality. These beliefs and perceptions are embedded in the unconscious mind and with proper development these can be revealed to the conscious mind. At this level of observance free-will is actualized. Free-will is the ability to observe the psyche and emotions at all times and how they interact in times of mundane and catastrophic
events. The benefit of this level of observance is apparent in that the Self is
given power over the lower states of the middot. Instead of being reactionary
to experiences in life you observe life and your response to it in an empowered
position. Instead of the experiences controling you (in a reactionary manner)
you control the effects of the experiences. That is you control your own
spiritual evolution. This is the awareness that one is a spiritual being having
a human experience. This level of the 'observer mind' puts you in control
(authentic free-will) outside of the context of cause and effect.

You may go through life like a ship at sea subject to the effects of a terrible
storm, which is being tossed about by tumultuous waves. Eventually you will get
to your destination but it will be a longer and more difficult journey.
Alternatively you can become conscious of the storm and their root causes and
effects and choose a path of navigation which will bring you to your destination
    more peacefully and quickly.
